I tried playing WOW but it felt... weird. Like, I'm trying to
complete some quest, and here are fifty-three other people also
trying to complete the same quest. It was like a bunch of people
playing a single-player RPG but within the context of an MMORPG.
Yeah, it does feel a bit weird these days. When I first started playing
it someone invited me to a group and we went adventuring, I had never
played an MMO or anything like it so I was quiet taken by the vastness of
the world. That was back when The Burning Crusade had just been released.
Now days no one groups with anyone unless it's for a dungeon or a quest
and they could be from any server and you group with them for the
duration and never see them again.
Occasionally I wander into Vendetta Online. It's like an MMORPG
version of Elite, or Space Rogue, or something. Twitch-based
spaceflight combat simulation with RPG aspects and a decent-sized
community of people pew-pewing each other. And it runs on damn near everything.
Yep I played Vendetta Online quiet a bit years ago. I actually resubbed
this month (for a month) but haven't really got into it. Have you played
EVE online?
